I think that Expandos were one of the best things in KiXforms. Hmm, what's the alternative in KiXforms.NET?

ja i liked expandos too - no alternative really, other than me somehow getting expando's going again - It must be possible to do expandos in .net because j# supports them. Will keep plugging away on that one.

Hi Shawn,

Good news about the new version your working on, but Smile I am re-writing all my KiXforms from a very old version to the latest public release.

Do you think this is worth it, as I would have to re-write all the code when the new release comes out.

What do you think your timescale is on the new release, or maybe to beta stage.

Thanks

Is it worth migrating to Kixforms.Net ? My knee-jerk response to that is no, its not worth it - because it really doesn't buy you much. In fact, tbh - the old library in some respects has more features pound-for-pound, then the .net library. Plus there is no requirement for the .net runtimes.

Going forward though - with new stuff - I would suggest you consider it as long as the features are there. Because in the long term, Kixforms.Net will have way (way) more features than the old library. But thats longer-term.
