Does anyone see any big big benefit in me changing the ProgIg (ie, Kixtart.System) of the in-development build to something different (ie, Kixtart.System.Dev or Kixtart.System.46) just for the duration of development ? I would probably change the name of the DLL as well (to like kixforms46.dll) - this would (theoretically) allow one to run both DLL's side-by-side. As well, not sure if its technically feasible either, but is it worth spending effort to do ?

yes, that's good!

keeping separate shits will allow ppls code work as usual and dev scripters need code dev code instead of just trusting they have the correct build regged at the moment.

Hmmm... unless the German judge can qualify why he voted no, I will side with the Finnish judge.

ok, the german judge should clarify himself.

changing the ProgIg to something like KiXtart.System.46 sounds painfull to me when it comes to usability.

I would have nothing against changing the dll names and the possibility to run these side by side as long as it is technically possible to run the same namespaces (I think there would be too much traps involved with different namespaces, like sitting there for 2 hours not recognizing why the bloody 1000 line test proggie doesn't work anymore when it comes to dev build 47).

Hope this clarifies not obfuscates my opinion

Cappy has a point - we would have to ensure that the props/methods from one dll didn't interfere with the other - they would have to be totally 100% seperate namespaces !
