That's the shell object of BrowseForFolder that does that. I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, that the dotnet versions call the same underlying API, but does it in a different way. |

Looking forward to build 40. Haven't tested yet with .Shell, cause of the problems discussed before, but i'm thinking with build 40 pre-production testing is possible!
Just asking...... CHM ??
I would go for krabourn suggestion. That way it's clear (and who gives a %^$ about six keystrokes, if these are to much program a hotkey...) _________________ Kind regards |

Firstly, it so nice to finally get input and feedback on the design decisions for kforms ... tbh - its really hard to development something in isolation and its great to get feedback and ideas and fresh insight.
Firstly, I'm going to stick with dotnet and use FolderBrowserDialog. The other decision was about the "extra" MENU object in the form ... going to keep that too !
A rather large knowledge-base of dotnet code is starting to evolve on the net - using MENU objects, MENUITEMS objects and even the FolderBrowserDialog so why deviate from that ?
CHM File ? Im on the "Down-side" of that hill finally - figure it will be ready in a week or two, really - maybe be released with one of the next couple of beta builds.

oops almost forgot ...
The Form.Shell method DOESN'T create a console window now (in the next beta) but i just want to advise that I view the SHELL method as an experimental interim function, at least until the PROCESS object is built - then we can start getting into process states and prioperies and piping etc ... |

Sorry to change subject ppl but this one goes related to new features.
Shawn:
Is it possible to have $Form.Opacity = 0 and display a picture ($form.image) so as to make the form invisible and the only thing visible the picture?. I mean no borders no form....just the picture?
As far as I tested I coudnt work with Opacity with any object in new beta.....could u please post sample?, maybe there is something I am doing wrong.
Thanks very much fellows... _________________ I am green and I am proud.

Sure we are gonna get somewhere Jooel. Ja!
Fellas..about the above question I got to the point that $Form.Opacity can be applied to the whole form, not just to the form and not some of the object in it like a picture.
Thanks. _________________ I am green and I am proud.

Not working ?
Hmmm ... haven't tested yet but am sure it won't work on NT 4
Have you tried with 2K or XPooP ? _________________ Jochen

Not to open a cyrpt, but this topic seems it should apply to each new beta yet there has been no activity for 5 months here.
With that said, Shawn!!
Lonkero wants to see that TREEVIEW. What is the status on that? Will it show up in KF and if so when. If NOT, why not.
How does KF handle memory? ie..., the larger the KF DLL gets, does the memory resources climb as well when forms are called and objects referenced? |

Personally, I'd prioritize a listview with checkboxes |
