Shawn,

This might be more fitting to request from KiXtart rather than KiXforms, but I'll toss it out here first as I'd be using it primarily with KiXforms objects. You see, I'm away at training this week, taking MS 2559 Intro to VB. Net. I just came across the "With" command. Just for those aren't learned, it works like this:

Code:

$lblTest=$form.controls.label
With $lblTest
  .Text="Hello World"
  .Left=10
  .Height=20
  .FontBold=True
  ... (you get the picture)
End With

Shawn, the scripters of KiXforms need this. I love this. It's so simple, it makes me sick thinking how I've come this far without it. Actually, learning the debugger that comes with VS really makes me dread the thought of debugging KiX... =)

Sick, I tell you, those boys are at M$.

lol - sure Jim, make us feel bad by reminding us of this ... this feature has been requested on more than one occasion back over at the mother ship ... fell on deaf ears i'm afraid ...

Been quite a while since we've had any new and exciting language additions to Kixtart .... I mean anything thats really made a fundmental difference to the way we code ... I still have faith though ...

btw - looks like you and a couple others are making a jump over to vb.net ... hows things look from over there ?

KiXtart's development is slow. You know what they say about watching paint dry and grass grow...

I'm very green in VB. The transition will take years which is where I'd like to take my career in the long run. However, our shop is primarily admins that use KiX and KiXforms, so I need to stay on top of them both.

One thing that I must say though is, having the experience with the more recent versions of KiXforms is making a smoother tranisition into VB.Net. I also understand some of the methods of your madness now. I think I saw this called somewhere:

Microsoft.Visualbasic.KiXforms.Shawn.TakeOverTheWorld(byRef EvilPlot As Object)
