I've have a form with a textbox inside with the scrollbar property set to 2
to display vertical scrollbar.
The textbox is dynamically loaded from a file.
I would like to have the scrollbar visible only if the text size is exceeding the visible size of the textbox.
I would like to have the same behaviour also when the textbox comes with static content, it's 'anchored' to the containing form and i manually resize the form itself using the mouse: this scrollbars hide/show behaviour
is standard in Windows.

Hi Paolo,

I need to look into it more, but I think the behavior you outline may be standard for the RichTextBox control, but not the good olde TextBox control. Evidence can be found for this when using the Notepad editor (which uses the textbox control) vs Wordpad (write) which uses the RichTextBox control. Think you will find that if you shrink the notepad text area, the vertical scrollbars still remain visible. With wordpad, the scrollbars dynamically appear and re-appear as required. Even if you check these controls under vb.net, the RichTextBox has extra settings that control this behavior - the TextBox control doesn't.

Like I say though, let me check into more.
