Do you mean the 'Script Archive'? Or the CHM help file available with the latest beta?

Yeah, think that thread disappeared somehow Wink

But it's still an interesting topic, and I'd still like to have it too Smile

This is still a great idea. If anyone wants to suggest what functions would be good candidates for function demonstration, would love to hear about them. If anyone wants to post some demonstrations, that would be a good thing too. I would suggest that in lieu of a special forum for this, we use the Script Archive for now. If the demonstration looks good, will make sure it is also included in the CHM file as well (after all, should be an easy copy & paste).

But should we have a special forum for this, or just post some examples to the Archive for inclusion into the CHM ...

Why not together for example?
Look at the UDF Forum for an example…

This BBS already has the 'Script Archive' whose charter does encompass this:

Script Archive: Got a good script or code fragment? Well share it here so that others can benefit from your examples

My initial idea with this was to explore each object with one or more example(s). Like example #1: The simplest way to use it, exaplme #2 a bit more advanced etc. And not mix it woth other stuff unless necessary, and use decent & understandable variable names & formatting etc...

I agree with Jens in that the Script Archive forum was intended for code fragments as well as fully developed scripts. I suggest that we use a set of 'pre-titles' in the subject line to denote the post contents. For example, "SCRIPT:", "EXAMPLE:", "FRAGMENT:", "FUNCTION:" etc. etc.

Rod.
