Shawn,

I know you're busy, but I was thinking...since FileSystemWatcher is implemented in the latest greatest KF.NET, could you also add EventLog class (which is similar to FileSystemWatcher, see here)?

Also, I can't find it, but is there a SystemWatcher for Registry?

I will definitely be using all three SystemWatchers for my Environment application to monitor changes made in the remote servers' Event Logs, Registry, and actions made by other instances of the program.

This program is going to rock! Very Happy

Pearly, can you work-up a hit-list of properties and methods to concentrate on first ... ?

Event log watching I could see value in but the registry is a very busy place. Run RegMon for a while to see how much noise you would need to filter.

That's very true, Les.

I'm wondering like the FileSystemWatcher, you can designate a specific reg path to watch, that way it only concentrates on specific reg keys you want to monitor.

Shawn, I will look into the properties and methods and get back to you.

Thanks!

Well this is sad news...EntryWritten event ONLY receives event notifications when entries are written on the local computer.

"To get event notifications, you must set EnableRaisingEvents to true. You can only receive event notifications when entries are written on the local computer. You cannot receive notifications for entries written on remote computers."

Crying or Very sad

I think this is the showstopper.
