Is there any way to keep the form from closing? Or if someone does close the form, does the script go ahead and run in the background? I have moved my login script from Kixtart to Kixforms and like the look of it, but now the users are closing it. T

Thanks.

Login scripts should act like magic. As admins we always like to know what is going, but the Joe user should think that it just happens.

But that is my two cents worth

I do not know of a way to stop the users from closing the form if they really want to. And depending on how your script is setup, it may or may not continue running.

IMHO, login scripts should neither be seen nor heard. It is obvious that users don't care to see the login script run since they go out of their way to close it.

Build OnClose function that logs them off. But I concur, the login script should do it's magic without the users seeing anything.

If the login script handles a lot, show it without the ability to close it (use the ControlBox property).

Our login script cleans up, connects drives, installs software and creates the corresponding shortcuts, connects printers and does some machine specific things (desktop or portable related stuff). This could take a while (especially when installing new software), so users see what's happening (see the attachment in Dutch, the caption & image is customizable using a GPO).
