Love the new release. Very Happy Cool

But, I found ,I think, a bug in $ListView.Item.Add().

This will add to the top of the list.
Code:
$Item = $ListView.Item.Add()
$Item.SubItem(0).Text = "Something"

This will add to the bottom of the list.
Code:
$Item = $ListView.Item.Add("Something")

This has probably been there for a while, but I finally figured out why I was sometimes having problems adding to a ListView.

GO Shawn GO!!

ja - theres actually an explaination why this happens. When you add an item and specify the text at the same time, the ListView automatically inserts it in the proper sorted order (if Sorted is set to true). Doing it the other way, a null item is being inserted into the list in sorted order (at the beginning) but the problem right now is that when you change the text afterwards, the ListView does not resort the item. I was aware of this but not too sure how to handle it right now. I could have the ListView resort the data when any Item text is changed, or I could expose the Sort method and one could re-sort the data when appropriate (say, after modifying a bunch of Items) ... going to revisit the ListView now anyways so we can make a call on this soon.

Just so you know, .Sorted should be false, because I am not declaring it.

I am trying to set a button to react if the "Escape" key is pressed. If I use .ToolButton is does not work but works with .CommandButton or .Button.

Here is a code snippet.
Code:
;   $btnAskQuestionCancel = $frmAskQuestion.ToolButton
   $btnAskQuestionCancel = $frmAskQuestion.Button
   $btnAskQuestionCancel.Text = "Cancel"
   $btnAskQuestionCancel.Size = $iButtonWidth, $iToolButtonHeight
   $btnAskQuestionCancel.Location = $btnAskQuestionOkay.Right + $iMargin, $btnAskQuestionOkay.Top
   $btnAskQuestionCancel.FlatStyle = 0
   $btnAskQuestionCancel.Icon = $ilsicons.Images(6)
   $btnAskQuestionCancel.Cancel = 1
   $btnAskQuestionCancel.OnClick = '
      $$fnAskQuestionError = 1
      fnFadeOut($$frmAskQuestion)'

.Default works with .ToolButton.

Cancel doesn't work with ToolButtons in the current release. Might want to post a feature request on this so I don't lose track of this fact (which I have been known to do) Wink

I've noticed that labels for forms tend to "leak" space larger than the labeltext itself. Ie; stuff neightbouring to certain labels (like other labels) gets overlapped.

Hi Masken,

Please can you post some example code to demonstrate this label "leak" issue. Furthermore, has this only appeared in the latest beta, or is it visible in all versions of the library?

Thanks,

Rod.

Hi Rod

It's when I do a label. If I do a label with Arial 8 and name it "Writer:" for example, and don't specify the size for that label in the form, then the "W" gets cut off a bit. The KiXform I have this in is rather large...

Edit
I posted the fragment here:
http://www.kixforms.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1208#1208

...if I removed the single whitespace in the label " Writer(s):" here, the "W" gets cut off a bit

Shawn, new bug reported in the tracking system.

Rod, can we update the pulldowns in the bug report submissions?
