eh, you still don't see it?
stop by reading the code and try to understand.
the wicked space is the one after the listbox before the first button.
heightwise.

then, the button located right under that one.
third one in the code.
it does not show almost at all even though it should have lots of empty under it.
heightwise.

so, again, there is something wrong in KF .net, HEIGHT wise.
this example shows that under listbox, there is some sh*t worth about 20 pixels and at the end of tabpage, there is some sh*t worth about 20 pixels also.

I do for sure ...

I see what you see, we both mean the same but somehow we manage, again, not to understand what the other says Rolling Eyes

Have you tried playing with the ListBox.IntegralHeight Property ? By default, a ListBox will automatically resize its height to NOT show partial items (calculated based on font) ... set this property to false and try again.

why would that only affect the visiable size if the borderstyle is set to 3d?
with the borderstyle set to single line its visible height is the same as the physical height.

wicked,

that doesn't change button but resizes the Listbox (visibly) to the size shown in Benny's screenshot Shocked

[edit: eh, understood ... so the actual size of the Listbox with IntegralHeight = false is 80 now, it just doesn't get resized automatically anymore, right ?]

jochen, yup.
and actually, the sizing didn't affect the listbox real size.
the box was resized, while the object still reserved the space.

anyway,
what we have seen here doesn't change the fact that the lower button is not visible.
clientHeight of the tab is 173, and again, the bottom of the lower button is 159.

is there similar screw up the display property for tabpages too?

Interesting addition... the ClientHeight of the Listbox is only 76 instead of 80 (no matter what Borderstyle I set, even 0)

the issue is, like you can see, that the buttons don't fit the form.

because the tabpage size does not fill the tabControl otherwise.
doh.

well, i dont think that the "size" properties are offically supported (even though they are listed in the chm, and on msdn). Think what your seeing is what one can call "a control realization thing". What i mean by that is - you can fudge the clientsize of a tabpage all you want, prior to actually displaying the page, but once it gets displayed (realized), then the "real" action kicks in ... i dont know, try this in your code:

?"width=" $tab.Size.Width
?"height=" $tab.Size.Height

$ServerMonitor.show

?"width=" $tab.Size.Width
?"height=" $tab.Size.Height

yup.
it's larger before the show.

now, the problem is, how would one do a tabpage that fills the tabcontrol area.
as that's the optimum as expected behaviour, right?
dockstyle_fill doesn't cut it as it has same issues.
it does not get the size before the showing of the form.
