Just thought of something that would be a really nice feature.
How about some basic wizards for things like File Open Dialogs, that way we can just say assign this chunk of code to this control/menu item.
Not asking that you do every scenario, but maybe the most common ones. _________________ Parents were invented to make children happy by giving them something to ignore. |

well.
there is no events present, so can't see no way of using any filedialog stuff either.
so, guess the first thing would be to add all the clicks and stuff. _________________ Hammer |

Benny,
Great Stuff! I'm very pleased with now being able to move controls in and out of containers. Feels faster too. Loading and saving speed - "Yeah Baby!!"

Benny,
How do you feel about moving the KiXforms.NET logo out of the PropertyGrid into the Toolbar or reducing its size? I find that even with a 1280x1024 display the control list could be bigger without encroaching on the property grid so much.

Hi Merc,
When i need to see more of the Objects TreeView i move the splitter between the Objects TreeView and the PropertyGrid, but if you still think that i need to move the kf.net logo i will try to figure something out. _________________ Wait don't order yet,... get KiXforms Designer .NET 2.0 (Beta)

I need to re-write one of my first kix projects to update it and add more features. I chose rather than use kixforms to move to .net and give your masterpiece a try. Impressed. Speeds things up no-end. One BIG frustration however...
Can't seem to Copy and Paste Objects which really is a must...
All things 'Design' is what we do and it is commonplace to get 'in this case' a group box with button layouts etc looking just so and then there is the need to replicate this layout in another group box or onto another pane. No longer having 20-20 vision it takes me a little longer to get things 'Just so' so when I have got there I wan't to be able to replicate the work.
I tried a quick text edit of the XML , simply renaming group box names and KFDN loaded it fine but as soon as it saved it again it un-did the manual edits...Ended up doing it manually groupbox after groupbox.
There must be an index of each component name so it should be possible to recursively incrament the names of copied items...
Hope you can consider at least a partial implementation.
Thanks for your effort, very cool

Hello
I have a problem with:
KiXforms Designer .NET 2.0.18.0
KiXforms.net 3.2.14.0
Wkix32.exe 4.51
Win XP PRO French
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 hotfix (KB886904)
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
During the creation of the second groupbox impossible to rename the groupbox or other and the menu do not answer any more - even after closing opening of KiXforms Designer and reboot station
Any idea???

I launch KiXforms designer .NET
I make a groupbox or another
I record the file zzz.KFD
I close KiXforms designer .NET
restart KiXforms designer .NET again
I load my file zzz.KFD
I make right click on the groupbox or other (not of menu)
the menus of KFD do not answer any more |

I believe it's a problem with KF.NET latest version. I can reproduce this problem.
If you're not using the features in the latest version of KF.NET, I would suggest installing an older version (e.g., 3.2.3) so you can continue working on your program. |

Sorry Shawn, I haven't had much time lately to verify the cause of the issue. Is it possible to have access to older versions of KF.NET so I can see which version started the culprit? Perhaps, it's not the versioning at all and was there since day one.
At this point, I don't know. |

I remove :
KiXforms Designer .NET 2.0.18.0
KiXforms.net 3.2.14.0
Wkix32.exe 4.51
and reboot
I install in this order :
Wkix32.exe 4.60.0.0
KiXforms Designer .NET 2.0.18.0
KiXforms.net 3.2.14.0
the problem is always
I remove :
KiXforms.net 3.2.14.0
I install :
KiXforms.net 3.1.46.0
its works perfectly
I already had the problem with an old version but I do not know any more which
can be a problem of KiXforms Designer .NET ???

So the problem isn't there when you install an older version of KF.NET? |
