Many thanx for taking the time my dear Shawn.
Will try to get this tested over the weekend.

Happy 2K5 to you and the family!

Shawn,

this works as propagated; It saves an object and all it's child objects as bitmap, exactly what I wanted it to do Nod

One minor weakness it has for now is that it can only save what is also visible to the user, but that is something I can live with for this project.
Maybe to keep in mind for later improvement Idea

Thats actually kinda tough to do (saving the entire bitmap), because normally the portion of the bitmap that is hidden would be "clipped" away and not accessible - what one would normally do (afaik) is to for example, create a large Panel with the entire bitmap, inside a form, and only show a portion of the panel, and use Scrollbars to allow the user to see the entire bitmap.

Yeah,

must be doable though, as it works in things like mspaint as well (saving non-visible areas) Wink

But, I say it again, there are really no hurries with that method.
Works for me as it is now, thanx again
