I'm guessing sockets is on the back-burner for the time being?

I went ahead and tried to implement a workaround for this socket problem. I added a procedure that verifies every command sent to the server so that the client can disconnect and reconnect if it determines that the server did not receive the last message.

This works for now, but is ugly and adds a lot of unnecessary traffic. I'm ready to start troubleshooting this whenever it works for all parties involved.

I will be back to sockets shortly. The GridView has been my priority for the past few weeks - its not done yet - I have just sorted-out the "framework" (object model) for it. Once I get it published, can focus-back to sockets for a bit.

This is great debugging work, as soon as I get the GridView launched, can switch focus back to sockets ... bookmarking this thread.

that is:
"as soon as you get gridview rolling somehow, you shall switch back to socket coding and let the gridview users start crying" Wink

anyway, good to here it's finally the time when one can once again think of creating a kf script!
or even find a reason why one of the older ones never worked 100%
