Nevermind Vivo,

is this what you're looking for ?

Code:
Break On

$System = CreateObject("Kixtart.System")

$Form = $System.Form()

$Form.Text = "NotifyIcon Example"
$Form.OnResize = "OnResize()"
$Form.Icon = $System.BuiltinIcons(0)

$Form.FileMenu = $Form.Menu.MenuItems.Add("File")
$Form.ExitMenu = $Form.FileMenu.MenuItems.Add("Exit","OnExit()")

$Form.NotifyIcon = $System.NotifyIcon()
$Form.NotifyIcon.Icon = $Form.Icon
$Form.NotifyIcon.Text = $Form.Text
$Form.NotifyIcon.Visible = True
$Form.NotifyIcon.OnDoubleClick = "OnDoubleClick()"

$Form.Running = 1
While $Form.Running
 $= Execute($Form.DoEvents)
Loop

Exit 1

Function OnDoubleClick()
 If Not $Form.Visible Or $Form.WindowState = $System.FormWindowState.Minimized
  $Form.WindowState = $System.FormWindowState.Normal
  $Form.Show()
  $Form.Activate()
 Endif
EndFunction

Function OnResize()
 If $Form.WindowState = $System.FormWindowState.Minimized
  $Form.Hide()
 Endif
EndFunction

Function OnExit()

 $Form.Running = 0

EndFunction

Yeah it is ... starting from this sample one should be able to change it's behavior.

It starts minized to Systray -> Change the start WindowState of form
etc.

What exactly do you like the form to do ?

does this fit better ?

Code:
Break On

$System = CreateObject("Kixtart.System")

$Form = $System.Form()

$Form.Text = "NotifyIcon Example"
$Form.OnResize = "OnResize()"
$Form.Icon = $System.BuiltinIcons(0)

$Form.FileMenu = $Form.Menu.MenuItems.Add("File")
$Form.ExitMenu = $Form.FileMenu.MenuItems.Add("Exit","OnExit()")

$Form.NotifyIcon = $System.NotifyIcon()
$Form.NotifyIcon.Icon = $Form.Icon
$Form.NotifyIcon.Text = $Form.Text
$Form.NotifyIcon.Visible = False
$Form.NotifyIcon.OnDoubleClick = "OnDoubleClick()"

$form.Show

$Form.Running = 1
While $Form.Running
 $= Execute($Form.DoEvents)
Loop

Exit 1

Function OnDoubleClick()
 If Not $Form.Visible Or $Form.WindowState = $System.FormWindowState.Minimized
  $Form.WindowState = $System.FormWindowState.Normal
  $Form.Show()
  $Form.Activate()
 Endif
EndFunction

Function OnResize()
 If $Form.WindowState = $System.FormWindowState.Minimized
  $Form.Hide()
  $Form.NotifyIcon.Visible = True
 Endif
EndFunction

Function OnExit()

 $Form.Running = 0

EndFunction

If you like to have a custom button sending the form to tray you should create a such with the same OnClick event as $Form.OnResize

hmmm ... that'd be near to impossible with the current Kixforms.
Afaik the title bar doesn't accept custom controls.

The only way would be constructing a custom title bar (FormBorderStyle set to 0).

But there you would loose other elementary functionality

Well - there could be two ways of doing this. The easy supported way and the more difficult un-supported way.

1) Supported way - We could maybe include a new menu item in the titlebar ControlBox (or SysMenu) that had an option to minimize the form to the tray. It would only appear if you told it to.

2) It is possible to customize the titlebar of forms - its called "painting in the non-client area of the form" but there are issues - any app that I've seen do it always ends-up getting bit in the rear-end by it. The titlebar look-and-feel is very OS specific (ie, NT versus XP look) and the app has to be sensitive to this (because for example the XP titlebar is fatter than the others). The apps i've seen do this look great under NT and 2K but end-up looking like crap on XP. So it's generally frowned on by MS.

But I really like this idea and will investigate further.

well, winamp has totally own skin.
but it has the minor problem that after version 2, it's crap.
you need at least 2GHz processor to run it smoothly.
