I've never had this problem before, and on my current machine I only have it running under one specific user account. The following code will cause a maximized Dialogue box to open...
Code:

BREAK ON
$ = MESSAGEBOX("Test","Test")

If I run this same script using a different user, then I get a normal sized window. I'm guessing this must be some kind of windows setting, however it is too obscure for me to find it. Also, a Kixforms form will open maximized.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe under 'Display Settings - Appearance'

I'm not aware of a maximize/minimize setting located there. I looked briefly but didn't see anything of interest. But to clarify on this some more, once the window opens, I can double-click the titlebar and the window then shrinks to the normal size. However, I have to do this for every window that opens and it only happens with KiXtart/Kixforms scripts.

And once the window is de-maximized Wink I cannot maximize it again.

To be honest: Not a KiXtart Problem, not a KiXforms problem, wrong forum.

Potential solution: Delete the NTUSER.DAT file for that particular user as this will delete HKCU and thsu these offending settings.

I understand this isn't a KiX problem per se, however I was hoping someone has run into this before and could help me out.

But anyway, your comment on display settings lead me to look at my nVidia Desktop Manager utility, and when I turn it off the problem goes away. I'll plug away there to find the setting causing this issue.

You might want to also use a registry scanner to see which registry keys get changed.
