Hi Guys,

Let me confess that I am not technical guy. Our company has KiXtart (300 Workstation , Windows 2003 Server). We want to display a NICE GUI message after LOGON (See Attachment). I want to know how can i do this with KiXform.

1) I know there is KiXform.dll file i need to copy (Don't know where !!!). Do I need to write batch script? If yes, where should I place it after writing the script?

2)I Saw great GUI stuff using KiXForms but I dont know what should i write for this.

In short, I want to know how can i implement this using KiXform with Existing KiXtart

Please help. Really stuck

Given the simplicity of your request compared to the complexity of installing and registering KixForms for this task, I'd consider the built-in ability of Kixtart to display a message box. For example:
Code:
$Title = 'Network Logon'
$Msg = 'message line 1' + @CRLF
$Msg = $Msg + 'message line 2' + @CRLF ; repeat as needed for each message line
$ = MessageBox($Msg,$Title,0)

I have already done this with KiXforms....

break on
SetConsole("HIDE")
$f = createobject("kixtart.form")

;
; Box Size and alignment
;

$f.Text = "OPA Network"
$f.Size = 600,420
$f.Center

; BUTTON creation,alignment and event

$b = $f.Controls.Button("Close",$f.ClientWidth/2-40,$f.CLientHeight-30,80,25)
$b.OnClick = "$$f.Hide"

$pb = $f.Controls.Add("PictureBox")
$pb.Image = "C:/WINDOWS/System32/GroupPolicy/User/Scripts/Logon/opa_logo.gif"
$pb.size=$f.ClientWidth,80
$pb.BorderStyle=None
$pb.BackColor=186,200,226

; RICHTEXT BOX width,height,multiline true, font style, border style, readonly

$rtb = $f.Controls.RichTextBox()

;$rtb.Bounds = 5,5,$f.ClientWidth - 10,$f.ClientHeight - 40

$rtb.Bounds = 0,80,$f.ClientWidth - 0,$f.ClientHeight - 130
$rtb.Multiline = 1
$rtb.FontName = "Lucida"
$rtb.BorderStyle = none
$rtb.ReadOnly = True

;ENABLE TO SET BACKGROUND COLOR OF RTB
$rtb.BackColor = 236, 233, 216

$rtb.html = "

<font size=4><SPAN STYLE=color:'red'>Welcome to Fall 2010!</span>
<SPAN STYLE=color:'blue'>http://www.google.com/</SPAN></font>
"

$f.Show

while $f.Visible
$_ = execute($f.DoEvents)
loop

exit 1
