Hi,

Im looking for a way to create a ListView with checkbox'es in it with an extra explanation field. Why? Because i'm trying to write some sort of messenger function with a server and a client component, which allows users (controlled by an ADM/GPO) to send custom messages to users, groups or sites.

I'm able to connect multiple clients to a server, where the client part first register itself to that server component with IP-address, user name (or full name), primary group or organisational unit and site. The server adds a time stamp. After a certain amount of time the client will try to refresh its data (and so the timestamp refreshes). The server component will check on a regular basis if registrations are obsolete using the timestamp.

I'm now looking into the client GUI part: how to search the server listings and present them to a client. I was thinking a ListView should do the trick, so that a client would be able to select more than one registrated user, group or site to send a custom message to. Could anyone post some code that would create/fill/control a ListView?

I'm using the lastest KiXforms classic, build 55.

I wrote a complete Client/Server IM application using KiXtart/Kixforms. I use a treeview to display the contacts. I don't currently use it anymore, but it was pretty decent I think.

Let me know if you're interested in checking it out, and I'll see how I can make it available.

The users that are allowed to send IM's could use a search string to query the server component. Maybe a treeview is usable too, to display the search results and select the apropriate users/groups/sites. You could sent me sample code if possible directly?
